Yikes!!

We've been in France for nearly two weeks and have driven quite a few miles while we have been here.  Happily, we didn't have to fill our gas tank until yesterday.  We probably had a quarter of a tank left, but Skip decided to fill up since we were going to be doing some "out and about" driving and we didn't know if we would have many options for gas.  I hadn't paid much attention to the prices of gas until then even though we passed many gas stations along the way.  Take a look at this... it doesn't look too bad

Hey a buck seventy-five doesn't seem too bad UNTIL you realize that it's euros per liter...converted to US dollars it is equal to $8.61.  I almost fainted!!

Later I saw another gas station some twenty miles away with these prices.  Much better, right??  Well 1.66 (euros) per liter equals about $8.17
